The central business district of Seattle, dominated by towering skyscrapers, government offices, and crowded streets.

To the north, it is bounded by Uptown, to the east by the slums of Central District, to the south by SoDo and the Industrial District, and west by Puget Sound. Also neighboring it to the southeast is Yesler Terrace and the International District.
